These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Loume (the "Service"), which is operated by [legal name of the business operator] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Service.
Loume provides AI-assisted study support for students preparing for Edexcel International GCSE (9-1) examinations. The Service includes subject content written for the specification, an AI chat interface with three study modes (Understand It, Exam Answer and Guided), and exam-style answer feedback. Content is being added progressively: Physics and Economics are available first, with Mathematics being added unit by unit, so not every chapter or subject is available at all times.
Loume is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pearson Education Limited or Pearson Edexcel. "Edexcel" is used only to describe the qualification the Service's content is written for. Our content is our own explanation of the specification and is not official exam board material.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is intended for students preparing for examinations, many of whom are under 18. If you are under 18, you should use the Service with the knowledge and agreement of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for any subscription purchased on your behalf.
Access to the Service is provided on a recurring monthly subscription. The price, in Australian dollars, is shown on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and your card details are never stored by us. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. We will give you advance notice before any change to the price of your subscription takes effect.
New subscribers are offered a 2-day free trial, available once per account. A valid payment method is required to begin the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription and your payment method will be charged.
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, and you will not be charged again after you cancel. Access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Payments already made are not refundable, except where required by law or where we have charged you in error. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us at [contact email].
To keep the Service reliable for everyone, we apply daily limits to the number of messages that can be sent. These limits are intended to be well above normal study use. If you reach a limit, you can continue the next day.
You agree to use the Service only for personal exam preparation. You may not share your account credentials, resell or sublicense access, use automated means to copy or scrape content from the Service, attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures, or upload content that is unlawful or that contains other people's personal information without their permission.
Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may sometimes be incomplete or contain mistakes. The Service is a study aid: check important facts against your textbook, the official specification and your teacher. Grading and feedback given by the Service are our own guidance and are not official marking by any exam board. We do not guarantee any particular exam result or grade.
The content, materials and technology that make up the Service, including our written syllabus content and how it is structured, remain the property of [legal name of the business operator] or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission. You keep ownership of the questions, answers and files you submit, and you give us permission to process them as needed to provide the Service.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as a study aid and we are not liable for decisions made based on information it provides. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. If we end your access for any reason other than a breach, we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.
Our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy, explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
